FREE 24/7 Access to Counseling

IVA High is proud to share that we are now offering another incredible tool to support student health and well-being at our small charter school. Our new partnership with STOPit Solutions expands our high quality counseling program by providing 24/7 access to trained Crisis Counselors - free of charge.

What is STOPit Solutions? 

STOPit Solutions is a digital platform that connects students to Crisis Counselors who are ready to help. Students use the app to request mental health support or share information about a tough situation. The Crisis Counselors are trained to help students with all issues that may arise, such as bullying, harassment, rumors, hopelessness, suicidal thoughts, or any other conflict. 

Students may send messages or connect with a person over the phone. They can also remain anonymous, if they wish. 

The STOPit Crisis Counselors alert IVA High staff to issues that may be occurring at school or students who may be experiencing distress. They share ways we can support students or address issues and our staff can then mobilize to reduce risks.

The platform is available 24/7 and we are pleased our students now have access to critical support outside of our school hours. Students can send messages any time of day or night, weekdays or weekends. Most importantly, it’s FREE to all IVA High students .

It’s important to note that our partnership with STOPit is intended to provide students with another trusted resource, not as a replacement for our incredible Counseling Program. We will continue to invest in our counselors (our 5 students to 1 counselor ratio is one of the best in California!) and will always encourage students to speak to our counseling team with any concerns. We are here to support all students and families.

How it Works

There are two easy ways to access STOPit Solutions. 

On your smartphone:

• Downloaded on iphone/android by searching Stopit App (purple icon). 
• Make sure to click "IVA High" 1637 Long Beach Blvd. (not the middle school).
• Students can use the Access Code: 163790813 

On the Web:

• Visit this link to access the STOPit webpage 
• Search by name: "IVA High" 1637 Long Beach Blvd. (not the middle school).
• Or use Access Code: 163790813 

Once on the IVA High page, you’ll be able to Submit a Tip or Text With a Crisis Counselor. If a student is sharing information about bullying or another event, they will be asked to describe the situation but will not have to share their identity. 

STOPit Solutions is just one of many ways we maintain our positive, supportive school culture. It creates a safe landing pad that encourages students to advocate for themselves and know that, just like at school, someone is always available to listen and help.
