We are delighted to invite you to a special Coffee & Community event with our School Director, Ms. Sanders. This informal gathering is a wonderful opportunity to meet other parents, share ideas, and engage in meaningful conversation about our school community.

We value your partnership and look forward to connecting over coffee and conversation. Please RSVP by 1/4/26.

IVA High started the day in an optional community meeting. Our goal was to help students better understand how to participate in civic action, to provide factual context, and to offer students a structured and supported space to reflect and express their thoughts and feelings.

Some students stayed on campus and safely participated in a sit-in protest involving art, crochet, and discussion.

Other students chose to peacefully participate in the local and national walk out. Although this was not a school sanctioned event, our students were seen by @longbeachclassic standing up for themselves and our community at city hall.

We are so proud of all our students; their humility, open-mindedness, humility, courage, and autonomy. 😊

El día en IVA High comenzó con una reunión comunitaria opcional. Nuestro objetivo era ayudar a los estudiantes a comprender mejor cómo participar en la acción cívica, brindarles contexto informativo y ofrecerles un espacio estructurado y de apoyo para reflexionar y expresar sus pensamientos y sentimientos.

Quienes mostraron interés en participar, se quedaron en el campus y participaron de forma segura en una protesta pacífica que incluyó arte, tejido a crochet y debates.

Otros estudiantes participaron en la manifestación local. Si bien este no fue un evento autorizado por la escuela, vimos a nuestros estudiantes defendiendo sus derechos y los de nuestra comunidad en el ayuntamiento. Estamos muy orgullosos de nuestros estudiantes; de su humildad, valentía y autonomía. 😊
