New Student Information
Welcome New Tritons! We are so happy to welcome you to IVA High, and we look forward to helping you make a smooth transition into high school at IVA High. In the coming months, you will receive a lot of information to get you ready and we know that you will have questions along the way.
We will update this information periodically, so be sure to check back often. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at info@ivahigh.org or call/text 562.283.4456.
What should I know about my IVA High login information?
Students- You will receive your IVA High student email address at the New Student Orientation or on your first day of school. Student email addresses are firstname.lastname@ivahigh.org.
Parents- You can access your Parent Portal account through our website. Your login information will remain the same, with your user name being your email address. If you need your password reset, please email info@ivahigh.org.
What is New Student Orientation?
All incoming freshmen and transfer students will need to attend the new student orientation. During the orientation, students will become more familiar with IVA High, other students, the IVA High culture, and their teachers. Students will also take placement assessments, receive their class schedules, have time to connect with teachers, and orient around the school.
What is New Parent Orientation?
Whether your new Triton is your oldest child, youngest child, or somewhere in between, it's just as important for parents to make the transition to high school. Parenting a high school student is different than parenting at other grade levels, and your partnership with IVA High will be different than your partnership with past schools. To start to envision how the next four years will unfold, please join our Family Alliance for New Parent Orientation. In addition to receiving important information, this is also a wonderful opportunity to meet and interact with other new IVA High parents.
What do I need to know about technology?
IVA High is a one-to-one technology school. Every student receives their own Google Chromebook for the academic year, connecting all of our students to the world's resources and information. Students will receive their Chromebook during New Student Orientation.
What forms are needed before school begins?
IVA High needs a copy of each student's immunization record, birth certificate, proof of address, and any other support documents. Parents will also need to complete and review a number of forms in the Parent Portal account which will be available in mid-August. Documents can be emailed to info@ivahigh.org.
What do I need to know about school supplies and textbooks?
