Choosing a high school is an exciting process – and we’re thrilled you’ve chosen IVA High! If you are ready to start the enrollment process, there are only 3 easy steps between you and the tuition-free high school you’ve been seeking. Let’s go!

How Do I Enroll at IVA High Charter School?

1. Fill out the Enrollment Application Form.
2. Indicate your choice to enroll your student in IVA High by checking the box below. 
3. Hit SUBMIT, sit back, and wait to hear from us (it won’t be long, promise!)

What’s Next? 

We’re here to help make the transition into high school smooth. In the months after you complete the enrollment process, you will receive a lot of information to get you ready. Check your inbox to get the scoop on getting ready for school!

You can also look forward to New Student Orientation. All incoming freshmen and transfer students will need to attend the orientation where you will become more familiar with IVA High, other students, the IVA High culture, and your teachers. You’ll also take placement assessments, receive your class schedules, connect with teachers, and orient around the school. 

Parents, we have info for you, too! Parenting a high school student is different from parenting at other grade levels, and your partnership with IVA High will be different from your partnership with past schools. We invite you to join our Family Alliance for New Parent Orientation. In addition to receiving important information, this is a wonderful opportunity to meet and interact with other new IVA High parents. 

A Few Things to Note About Enrolling at IVA High:

Our enrollment is open to all high school students, regardless of background and there are no residential restrictions-- anyone in California can enroll at IVA High. 

We are currently accepting 9th-12th grade applications for the 2024-2025 school year. For the current 2023-2024 school year, please contact us for more information.

Please note that due to space availability, a random lottery system will be utilized to select students should applicants exceed our available openings. You are still encouraged to register at your neighborhood school.

  • School Tours in Summer (June - August) - Personal tours can be scheduled by emailing info@ivahigh.org. Drop-in tours are scheduled throughout the summer. 
  • In-Session School Tours (September - May) - School tours give you a sense of what a regular day looks like at IVA High. You will observe a classroom, witness how students engage with the curriculum and collaborate with each other, and see how our innovative teachers make thinking visible.
